I had always wanted a Bull Terrier from a young age, and now I owned my own house it was the perfect opportunity to buy a bully. After researching the breed and breeders I was put in contact with Joy & Lee Pilkington at the Javarke Kennel in Hartlepool.

After visiting Joy, Lee, adult dogs and pups, I knew a bully was for me, and luckily Michael knew also!

The books and Joy were right about the traits of the Bull Terrier but reading about them and actually owning one were two very different things. Nothing could have fully prepared us for dealing with the puppy we had brought home!

Yes she was stubborn and had to be dragged out of the door for a walk, yes she only heard what she wanted to hear and yes she would go back to doing whatever she had been doing straight after being told not to do it!! BUT, always the joker, Stella never fails to put a smile on our faces - she is so full of love and affection that she melts our hearts daily. She is definately part of the family. We could not and would not be without her.

Stella was bought not as a show dog but as our pet, however, we have been bitten by the show bug and now regularly attend both Championship and Open shows, with some quite successful results.

We have to say thank you to Stella for giving us so much pleasure, and thanks again to her for giving us the chance to meet new friends and learn a lot more about the breed. We also need to thank Joy & Lee Pilkington for letting us have Stella, and will always be grateful for their continuouse help and support.
